Good morning Mr. Condrey,
Our administrative assistant, Lisa, had forwarded a voice mail from you on Friday while I was
out in the field. Thank you for the follow-up email.
The information you noted below 'appears' to be what we would consider repair and
maintenance. Under our rules regarding water dependent structures (bulkheads), if more than
50% of the linear footage of the structure must be rebuilt in order to restore the structure, we
would consider that replacement and require a permit.
However, before I could issue an Exemption, I would have to conduct a site visit for
verification. With your permission, I will stop by there while I'm in Hatteras conducting other
site visits.

Hello,
My name is KW Condrey and I have a home in Hatteras located at 56189 Pamlico Drive. The existing poly sea
wall is in need of repair. The top wood cap is in rough shape and there are multiple tie backs that have rusted
out. All of the existing pilings are on the interior side buried in the ground. My thought and plan are to install
new pilings, 46 at the top, and 46 at the water level on the outside of the wall with new tie backs. I am
planning on doing this project myself the first week of June if that is even possible with the permitting
process. Please let me know the process and what you would need from me.
