Griffin Street, Ste. 300 Elizabeth City, NC 27909 Re: Permit Extension Dear Mr. Renaldi- RECEIVED OCT 2 6 2021 DCM'EC W. FRANK HEATH, III COUNTY MANAGER Perquimans County holds CAMA Major permit Number 15-11 issued by the NC Department of Environmental Quality for the construction of an inland basin and associated necessary improvements (navigation channel, shoreline stabilization, etc.) needed to develop the Perquimans Marine Industrial Park located off Harvey Point Road in Perquimans County. Being that the Permit expires on December 31, 2021, Perquimans County requests renewal of the Permit. Perquimans remains committed to developing the project and there are no proposed changes to the permit at this time. It is Perquimans County's intention to complete the project in the short term. The reason for the delay has been that we have been seeking additional funding to complete the project. We have been waiting to see if this money is included in the final state budget. The project has experienced no change of plans since the original permit and the project is in compliance with all of the conditions of the current permit. I have included the additional information needed for the extension of the permit in this submittal, along with the fees associated therewith. If you need more information or have questions, please contact me at any time. Respectfully, ank Heath unty Manager Perquimans County's Vision: I To be a community of opportunity in which to live, learn, work, prosper and play.
