Hi everyone,
Jimmy and Maria, I didn't see you on this email, so I want to first pass this along to you for any comments and also ask if
you would like to also attend this meeting to discuss dredging at Hatteras Inlet in October. Brad sent an email this am
scheduling it for Friday afternoon on the 291h at 2pm- but if you want to also attend and that time does not work for you,
please let me know. I am scheduled to be on leave the latter part of that week- but I can call in if that time works for
everyone else.
Also- I did not find it exceedingly clear from the info provided, but while the plans show a distance of 97' to the
previously mapped SAV in the area (2019/20 APNEP SAV survey shown in pink), CPE performed a more recent survey in
June of this year. The June survey only identified SAV farther to the north- at a measured minimum distance of 630'
from the proposed channel location. This is shown in green on drawing PV-1/Sheet 2. 1 also requested additional info on
the June survey effort and Brad provided the attached report. It is my understand they also plan to provide a report at
the end of the growing season.

All,
With Ken out of town for a few weeks, I'm pinch-hitting and helping coordinate a pre -construction meeting re: the
forthcoming maintenance dredging event within the Hatteras Connector Channel (CAMA Major Permit #129-16 and
Dept. of Army Permit SAW-2016-02140). Please find attached the formal written notice to both DCM and USACE
Regulatory along with the plans for the forthcoming maintenance event. As you will read in the letter, the proposed
schedule calls for approximately 14 days of dredging beginning as soon as October 1 using the Miss Katie. It is
anticipated that approximately 25,000 cy may be dredged during this event.
I'd like to try to schedule a pre -con meeting at the end of the month, shortly before the dredge is anticipated to begin its
work. Since Ken is out of the country until the last week of September, I'm hoping that we can convene a meeting at
2pm on September 29" . If the 29" at 2pm does not work for you, please let me know alternative times that may work -
if need be, we can also shoot for the 281", although the 291" is preferable. That said, I do not envision this call taking too
much of everyone's time considering no significant changes have been made since the last quarter. Once we have a
date/time nailed down, I will send out a Teams meeting invite.
