Here is some draft language we are ironing out for the Hatteras Inlet extension/modification. I wanted to see where you guys stood before I shot this to Ken. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions! In order to avoid impacts to endangered species, special aquatic sites and essential fish habitat, the applicant will avoid placing additional spoil material in areas that are exposed above MLW due to incidental impacts from previous dredging activity. These areas will be documented and submitted to the Washington Regulatory Field Office, Attn: Mr. Josh Pelletier, 2407 W. Fifth Street, Washington, North Carolina, 27889, and by telephone at: (910) 251-4605. This applies to this "one-time" dredging event only and at the conclusion of this "one-time" event, future dredging activities shall be performed in a manner to avoid creating areas above MLW as described in the original permit.
