of Piling is Notched. Strapping to be Galvanized, 4" wide by 18" (min.)
long by 3/16" thick. Bolt Strapping with Bolts, Nuts and Washers.
7. All fasteners to be hot -dipped galvanized.
8. All Bolts to be 5/8" and include washers on bolt and nut sides.
9. Nails to be a minimum of 12d, ring shank.
10. Screws to be a minimum of 2.5", gals.
11. All Pilings to be minimum 8 feet below below existing grade.

12. Cross -bracing is not required when the height from the gound to the sill,
beam, or girder does not exceed 10 feet and the dwelling is one story
above the pilings.
13. Pilings to be installed with a minimum 8.8 kips.
14. House shall be strapped from existing girders/bands to pilings with
4"x 18"x 3/16" gals. straps and through bolts, or by overlaping the
bands on the home and the bands on the pilings with plywood. The
nailing pattern for this overlap shall be 3 inches on center along edges
and 6 inches on center otherwise. Use same strapping
for Porch Post to pilings. Where Porch Posts do not line up with
Pilings, strap the posts to the girder/bands.
