ment in an area of environmental concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management."

This permit, issued on May 19, 1992 , is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing
(where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these
terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.

1. Impervious surfaces shall not exceed 25% of the lot area within the AEC.
2. A 10'-151buffer of natural vegetation shall be maintained between any disturbed areas
and marsh or water body to prevent sedimentation of the marsh or water body.
3. Where a buffer area is not maintained, a filter cloth must be installed between any
grading and marsh or water body until the area is stabilized with a vegetative cover.
4. No marsh grass will be graded or filled.

This permit- action :may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date. From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this
permit must cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit require further written permit approval.
All work must cease when this permit expires on

In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consis-
tent with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.
This permit may not be transferred to another party without
the written approval of the Division of Coastal Management.

PURSUANT TO NCGS 113A-119(B), Emerald Isle, a locality authorized to issue permits
in Areas of Environmental Concern, hereby gives NOTICE that on May 8, 1992

We are making application for a minor development permit to
the Coastal Area Management Act officer for the Town of
Emerald Isle. We plan to build a duplex which would lie in a
similar ocean setback location as already established in the
neighborhood.
We plan to build a duplex with a pier to the water that would
conform with the neighborhood and would not detract from your
property in any way.
CAMA regulations require that this notice be sent to you as
an adjacent land owner by 1st class mail.
