Establish Dig Safe procedures, install temporary construction facilities and set up site security. 2) Site Preparation - Install erosion and sedimentation control measures. Clear and grub all vegetated areas. Establish decontamination facilities and odor and dust control measures. Establish soil staging areas with the perimeter of the erosion control measures. 3) Remedial Activities - Install coffer dam/cut-off wall at end of existing boat ramps as shown on the plans. Install pumping equipment to pump water collected behind the coffer dam into the north filter basin. Commence excavation and replacement of soil. 4) Restore site to original grades with imported soil from a permitted site. 5) Seed and mulch denuded areas within 15 days after completion of any pha.e of grading. Cover all cut or fill slopes that are greater than 3:1 as shown on the grading plan with a temporary erosion control blanket: North American Green S150 or an approved equal. Seeding for erosion control purposes shall be in accordance with the schedules found on the drawings. 6) Turn site over to the City of Wilmington's contractor for the reconstruction of the parking lot and boat romps. PHASE 2 -w PARKING LOT & BOAT 12AMv1P RECONSTRUCTION 1) City's Engineer shall visit the site and inspect erosion control measures installed during Phase 1 and insure that they have been maintained and adequate for the Phase 2 work to proceed. Engineer will coordinate any required maintenance. 2) Hold a Preconstruction Conference with the City of Wilmington and NCDENR. 3) Complete any additional demolition and clearing beyond the Phase 1 work that rnoy be required for Phase 2. 4) Perform final grading and install parking, curbs, gutters, utilities and all amenities shown on the plans. 5) Stabilize all denuded areas with temporary or permanent landscaping as required 6) Remove all erosion control devices except for the perimeter silt fences. 7) Remove perimeter silt fences. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1) Provide required maintenance on all erosion control measures. Inspect all diversion swales and silt fencing after each rainfall event and repair any damaged or weakened segments. 2) Clear only those areas necessary for the installation of said measures. Contractor may relocate or modify erosion control measures to make adjustments for unforeseen field conditions so long as sizes, volumes, and construction are maintained to insure the integrity and usefulness of the proposed measures. All relocations or modifications shall have the prior approval of the Engineer. 3) Construction phasing may be improved by the relocation of certain erosion n ieosures or the installation of additional measures. It is the intent of the Owner to limit the disturbed area wherever possible by exercising flexibility with the erosion control measures r,3 construction progresses. (All phasing proposals by Contractor shall be submitted to the Cn, gineer for approval with subsequent approval by NCDENR required.) Contractor shall provide, install and maintain all measures necessary to complete the work shown on these drawings. 4) The streets in front of the project shall be kept clean at all times or a wash station will be required.
