subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Attached is a photo indicting the riparian lines for 202 Harbour View Drive, Colington. The
eastern line is based on a survey submitted by the owner of 101 Club View Court that was
performed by Seaboard Surveying & Planning Inc. The western riparian line location is based
on 20' of property shoreline for 202 Harbour View Drive, as indicated on the 1970 subdivision
plat located in Map Book 4, page 29.
Also, I received the attached notification from Bruce Doppler objecting to your father's
proposed boatlift. I have his email, so I will reach out and provide the same picture of the
riparian lines. Regardless of that, if he will not waive the 15' setback, my hands are tied as far
as issuing a permit since the boatlift will require a 15' waiver from both adjacent riparian
property owners.

Ron - thanks again for your time today. Attached please find the information mailed to Bruce Doppler on 28 AUG. I
have not received the return receipt from that mailing yet, but we just returned from our 30th Anniversary trip, so I'm
following up with the Post Office today to see when we can expect it.
I'll also provide you with the emails between the contractor/ Mr Dopler and I re: his dock in separate emails.
Hopefully, we can find a way to partner with him to get a lift, since we've been at it for nearly 20 yrs with this request,
and his continued refusal to approve any dock / lift, so we've had to carefully ensure we were within all regulations
while trying to maintain our dock over these years.
