I DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DOCK I
- Construct a 12' x 12' lower dock platform to be built on left side of existing upper dock.
- Construct stairs from lower platform down to mudline.
- Dock to be supported by (4) new 8" x 20' round 2.5# marine grade round pilings.
- 2" x 8" 2.5# salt treated girders and joists to be installed.
- Joists to be set on 16" centers or less.
- All pilings to joist and piling to girder points of contact to be secured/bolted with (2) 5/8"
galvanized timber bolts.
- Any joist not bolted to a piling is to be secured to the girders using 2" x 4" x 14" ground contact,
salt treated tie down blocks.
- Thru-Flow decking to be secured to joists with 3" stainless steel panhead screws at each deck
board to joist point of contact.
- Stairs to be constructed using 2.5# salt treated lumber for stair stringers and Thm-Flow decking
for treads. Stairs to be supported by (2) 8"xl6" butt poles.
- A final site clean-up of project related debris to he performed upon completion of construction.
