Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application and permit conditions. Any violation of these terms may
subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear New River Plantation Services:
I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in the inquiry concerning the necessary filing of an application
for a CAMA General Development Permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. After my review, I have
determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a CAMA General Development Permit, provided it
remains consistent with your`project picture", dated"received via email by DCM-MHD City on 7/14/2023, and it also
meets the conditions specified below. If you plans should change and your project will no longer meet these
conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING STRUCTURES
1 This exemption authonzes the repair of a 5'tall'x 100'section of bulkhead.
2. No expansions or enlargements of any kind are authonzed by this permit.All work must occur in the
original footprint,and in no case shall the proposed repair extend more waterward than the
existing footprint.
3 No other work is authorized by this exemption letter.
4 The development shall be consistent with all other applicable CAMA permit standards, NC Building
Code standards, local ordinances, and local land use plans in effect at the time the exemption is
granted.
5. This exemption does not authorize the filling of any coastal wetlands or§404 wetlands.
This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other State,
Federal or Local authorization. Construction of the structure authorized by this exemption shall be completed within
120 days from the issuance date of this exemption. Following expiration,a re-evaluation of the project and project
site may be necessary to continue this certification.
