JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PIERS
• Construct one (1) 5' wide x 24 linear foot long pier with one (1) 4' wide x 24 linear foot long
lower pier adjoining the upper pier on its right side when looking at the pier from the yard.
• Upper pier to be supported by (2) 1 Wx 30' pilings on outer left side of pier and (2) 8" x 25'
pilings between upper pier and the lower pier directly adjacent on the right side.
• Install (2) 8" x 20' pilings to support the right side of that lower pier.
• (2) 10" round by 30' pilings will be installed parallel to the upper pier pilings on the left side
of pier setting them 12' from the upper pier pilings. These two (2) pilings to be used to support
a future boat lift.
• All pilings to be 2.5# marine grade round pilings.
• Steps to be installed leading down from bulkhead to the lower pier.
• 2" x 8" 2.5# salt treated girders and joists to be installed. All girders to be doubled.
• All pilings to joist and piling to girder points of contact be bolted with (2) 5/8" galvanized
timber bolts. Joists to be installed on 16" centers.
• Any joists not bolted are to be tied down to girder with 2" x 4" 2.5# salt treated blocking.
• 2" x 6" ground contact salt treated decking to be installed and secured with 3-1/4" stainless
steel screws at each deck board to joist point of contact.
• A final cleanup of all construction debris related to this project to be performed.

the attached Detailed Job Description attached. All construction will take place at 101Club View Court,
Colington Harbour S/D, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27954, which is adjacent to your property located at 105 Club
View Court.
Attached is the CAMA Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification / Waiver Form, that CAMA requires
you to complete, along with the Detailed Job Description for construction of the upper and lower piers; an aerial
photo showing the Dopler and Alderman Property, your property and the Welch property; and a copy of a
survey with the proposed piers drawn thereon.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PIERS
• Construct one (1) 5' wide x 24 linear foot long pier with one (1) 4' wide x 24 linear foot long
lower pier adjoining the upper pier on its right side when looking at the pier from the yard.
• Upper pier to be supported by (2) 10"x 30' pilings on outer left side of pier and (2) 8" x 25'
pilings between upper pier and the lower pier directly adjacent on the right side.
• Install (2) 8" x 20' pilings to support the right side of that lower pier.
• (2) 10" round by 30' pilings will be installed parallel to the upper pier pilings on the left side
of pier setting them 12' from the upper pier pilings. These two (2) pilings to be used to support
a future boat lift.
• All pilings to be 2.54 marine grade round pilings.
• Steps to be installed leading down from bulkhead to the lower pier.
• 2" x 8" 2.5# salt treated girders and joists to be installed. All girders to be doubled.
• All pilings to joist and piling to girder points of contact be bolted with (2) 5/8" galvanized
timber bolts. Joists to be installed on 16" centers.
• Any joists not bolted are to be tied down to girder with 2" x 4" 2.54 salt treated blocking.
• 2" x 6" ground contact salt treated decking to be installed and secured with 3-1 /4" stainless
steel screws at each deck board to joist point of contact.
• A final cleanup of all construction debris related to this project to be performed.
