JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HEAVY DUTY BULKHEAD
• Construct a heavy-duty vinyl bulkhead to be approximately 76f linear feet.
• Bulkhead to be constructed using 8" x 16' 2.5 marine grade salt treated round pilings installed
on 5'4" centers.
• Install upper and lower 6" x 6" 2.5 marine grade salt treated wales.
• All piling to wale points of contact to be bolted with (1) 5/8" galvanized timber bolt.
• Shoreguard SG425 series 16' tall vinyl sheets to be installed and attached to both wales with (2)
3/8" galvanized lag bolts with washers per sheet.
• Bulkhead to be tied back to land using 5/8" x12' galvanized tie back rods installed at each
piling going to a 6"x 6" x 6' ground contact salt treated deadman.
• Each end of tieback rod to have a galvanized OG washer and nut installed.
• (1) 2" x 6" and (1) 2" x 8" 2.5# ground contact salt treated to be attached to land side of SG 425
vinyl sheeting with (1) 3/8" galvanized carriage bolt installed every 2 feet.
• Top of bulkhead to be capped with Thru-Flow decking and attached with 3" stainless steel
screws.
• Install (6) 12 cubic yards of backfill to graded and raked out.
• Final cleanup of all construction debris from areas affected by this project.

I have been hired by your neighbors, Barrett O. Welch and Patrice Taylor -Welch at 100 Sunrise Lane, Swan
View Shores, Kill Devil Hills, NC to construct a new 78t linear foot heavy duty vinyl bulkhead. This work will
take place on their property, which is adjacent to your property at 98 Sunrise Lane. Also, I wanted to let you
know we previously sent you a letter on June, 2023, that has not been delivered to you as of this afternoon
when I check with USPS's website.
Enclosed please find the CAMA Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver Form that CAMA asks
you to complete. Please follow the below instructions to complete the form. If you have any questions,
please contact me.

showing the existing bulkhead. This project will benefit your bulkheads as their existing bulkhead is failing and
needs to be repaired.
