Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application and permit conditions. Any violation of these terms may
subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Hi Doug,
I made the site visit today,and I did not realize how big that floating boat slip was.That would count towards your
platform square footage. Based on my calculations of the floating platform,fixed platform, and the floating boat slip, it
would be approximately at 490sf, and based on shoreline for that property,you'd only be allotted 400sf of shaded
impact. Let me know what modification you'd like to do. I can have it drafted by the end of the day tomorrow.

Just another follow up question with the new drawing you sent—will that outer most piling be removed? If the piling
remains AND the floating slip remains,the proposed pier/dock will have essentially 3 slips with configuration of the
9'x10' platform,and under a general permit we only authorize 2. We would request that the old outer piling be removed
for the proposed pier design.
