THE CONSTRUCTION CONSISTS OF SCREENED GRANITE TRAILS AND ELEVATED WOOD WALKWAYS WITH SOME SECTIONS OF CONCRETE PAVEMENT. THE SITE IS LOCATED ON 81.58 ACRES AT THE INTERSECTION OF US 64 AND US 264, MANTEO, NORTH CAROLINA. APPROXIMATELY 1.54 ACRES OF THE SITE ARE TO BE DISTURBED. CONSTRUCTION IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN IN THE FALL OF 2011. THE SITE IS LEVEL, WITH SANDY SOILS. THERE ARE VARYING SOIL TYPES ON THE PROPERTY. MOST OF THE VEGETATION ON THE SITE WILL REMAIN AS SHOWN. DISTURBED AREAS ARE TO BE STABILIZED WITH TEMPORARY/PERMANENT VEGETATION ACCORDING TO THE SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION. II. SOILS.
