trying to determine the number of possible slips created, and the tie piles seem to be placed atypically. Some

Looking at the notification form, I noticed that the form wasn't actually signed (only initialed) and it was initialed
by a Fred Berger. The property owner is listed as a Marilyn Berger with a KDH Address. Can you tell me how Fred Berger
of Williamsburg, VA is connected to Marilyn? I will need to document that he is authorized to respond on behalf of the
owner or do you have a returned green card from Marilyn?
Also I wanted to let you know that when I arrived to conduct the site visit on Tuesday (Feb 28th), I found that the
Smith's had "Beware of Dog" signs posted on both gates to the backyard. Since signs were posted, I attempted to
contact the property owner (Brad Smith) by phone to get verbal authorization that it was ok to enter the backyard. I
tried to contact him a couple times, but he was apparently in a meeting all morning. So I will reschedule a specific time
and date with him for the week of March 13th as I will be away from the office with meetings and trainings next week.

I wanted to run this by)(all before I ink in the permit for Brad & Mary Smith. I was able to meet with Mr. Smith on
site for a site visit. While I was there it was determined that the 8'x8' triangle platform on the left side of the pier would
encroach within the 15' setback of Mr. Phillips (Shoreline is only 42' instead of 50' wide). So I spoke with Mr. Smith and
explained that a waiver would be needed from Mr. Phillips for an 8' wide platform at that location. We then discussed
reducing the platform to 4' wide instead of 8'. Mr. Smith agreed with this and initialed the changes made on the
drawing. This will keep the platform out of the 15' setback and eliminate the need for a waiver.
I have attached a copy of the modified drawing. Does this suite with you guys as well? Just let me know and thanksl
