I JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DOCK I
• Construct a now 8' X 24' dock. Dock will be supported by new round #2.5 marine grade
pilings and will be parallel to bulkhead.
• 2" x 8" x 16' ground contact salt treated girders and joists will be installed. Joists to be set on
16" centers.
All piling to joists and piling to girders points of contact will be secured/bolted with (2) 5/8"
galvanized timber bolts.
• Any joist not bolted to a piling wll be secured to girders using 2" x 4" x 14" ground contact
salt treated tie down blocks.
• 2" x 6" ground contact salt treated decking will be secured to joists with 3" stainless steel
screws at each deck board to joist point of contact.
• The existing boatlift will be rotated 90 degrees and new pilings will be installed for new
location of boatlift.
• Install (3) new aluminum cat bunks on existing lift after it is repositioned.
• Remove old pier and pilings and haul off.
• A final site clean-up of project related debris to be performed.
I JOB ESTIMATE FOR HEAVY DUTY VINYL BULKHEAD I
Construct a 62 linear foot heavy duty, vinyl bulkhead with an 8' return on right end.
• Install 8" x 16 ft. #2.5 marine grade salt treated pilings on 5'4" centers.
• Install upper and lower wales to be 6" x 6" #2.5 marine grade salt treated lumber.
• All piling to wale points of contact to be bolted with (1) 5/8" x 14" galvanized timber bolt
per point of contact.
• Shoreguard 16 ft. 425 Series vinyl bulkhead sheeting to be installed. Vinyl sheeting to be
secured to wales with 3/8" x 2-1/2" galvanized lag bolts with washers.
• Bulkhead to be secured to land using 5/8" x 12 ft. galvanized tieback rods at each piling
running to a 6" x 6" x 6 ft. deadman. Each end of tieback rod to have galvanized OG dock
washers. The water side face of piling to be countersunk to recess nut and washer.
• 2" x 6" ground contact salt treated lumber to be attached to land side of vinyl sheeting with
3/8" x 2-1/2" 'galvanized carriage bolts installed every 2 feet.
• Top of bulkhead to be capped with 2" x 6" x 18" ground contact salt treated boards secured
with 3-1/4" stainless steel screws.
• Install (6) 12-cubic yard loads of backfill. Backfill to be graded, raked out and back washed.
• Existing dock to be removed to facilitate work and reinstalled 1Nr new bulkhead installation.
0 A final cleanup of all areas affected by this project will be performed.
