I went by Gregory's property and knocked on both the front and side doors —there were 2 vehicles onsite, but no one came to the door. Also went by Rock's property and knocked on the front door —there was a car onsite, and a package sitting on the stoop, but again, no one came to the door. Thus, I cannot complete my inspection of the shoreline and water depths/etc. I will be on extended leave starting 12/12 and will not return to work until 01/03/23. 1 noted that the clearing had occurred on the Powell property, and foundation work had started. Their minor permit included grading of slopes, so maybe that will be done by the time I get back in 2023. If not, perhaps y'all can obtain written permission from a neighbor that has steps going down so that I can access the shore. Ron mentioned that once a contractor had to provide a ladder to get down a bluff... but I'm not sure that's an option with the Powell property, considering the current height and vegetation. I'll give it a try. Will be on the'lookout' for the cross -sectional drawing for the 18' wide octagonal gazebo w/roof on the end —will need to verify that there's no roof overhang.
