From what I remember, the approval will come from one of USCG's NC offices however we do not know how long it will take for them to issue. Once that is in we'll have a better idea as to when the contractor would hold the pre-construction meeting and subsequently start construction. Let us know if you have any more questions. Marc Fonseca (formerly with NOAA),the consultant that wrote the mitigation plan, will be at the site starting Thursday until they are finished sometime this weekend. Kathy confirmed they would be using non-mechanical equipment such as shovels. They do plan to have robotic equipment on-hand to assist with measurements but it will be non-destructive. Someone will contact you to set up a pre-construction meeting soon. Please let us know if you have any questions.
