o 20 wave attenuator & 6 base unit forms
o New sets can be poured every 24 hours
o — 3.5 weeks for completion of fabrication
o Units take "7 days to cure and require an approval stamp from M&T inspector
prior to shipping.
o Cylinder break testing will occur when M&T Inspector is on site and is the
determining factor for receiving an approval stamp for shipping.

o Once stamped,the units will be shipped to Wanchese staging area
- Cape Dredging: Structure Installation
o Installation of the pilings, units, clamps, warning signs, and signal lights
o Approximate start date of Nov. 15th
o Pilings are at the staging area
o Install pilings first, the entire unit
o Receive units from shipping trucks and will need a second approval by M&T
inspector upon arrival (check for stamp and count# of units)
o Load units onto barge and transit to site

Thank for the quick response. FYI, I believe that Greg, Kyle, Garcy, and Clay are in the field today, so you
might not receive a response from them right away. One of the primary goals of the preconstruction conference
is to review the permit conditions with NCDOT and the contractor, so it will be important that all parties have
an opportunity to be present at the same preconstruction conference. Greg Daisey will represent DCM at the
preconstruction conference. I do not plan on attending.

Thank you for providing an update about the B-2500 Phase I SAV mitigation site at the B-2500A Informational
meeting on October 19tn
Do I remember correctly that you said there is a pre-construction meeting scheduled soon? If so, I do not
believe the DCM Transportation Project Field Representative has been contacted as of this morning.
A preconstruction conference invitation is required by Condition No. 4 of the CAMA Permit 106-12 Major
Modification that was issued by DCM on December 15, 2015 as excerpted below:
"The permittee and/or his contractor shall contact the DCM Transportation Project Field Representative in
Elizabeth City at(252) 264-3901 to request a pre-construction conference prior to project initiation. DWR,
USACE, and other appropriate resource agencies shall also be invited to attend. Discussion topics shall include
verification of the approved orientation and placement of the wavebreak structure."
A copy of the full Major Modification is also attached for your convenience. Please note that the permit
condition also requires that DWR, USACE, and other appropriate resource agencies shall also be invited to
attend the preconstruction conference.

November 7th at 1:00 pm. We will reserve a conference room at the UNC Coastal Studies Institute in
