Project summary The applicant proposes to replace existing bridge with new structure. NCDOT - DIV - Long Creek Bridge #5 Replacement Page 2 9. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The existing bridge has been judged to be delapedated to the point of being unsafe and too costly to repair. The creek at this point is approximately 40' wide. It is a typical coastal plan stream of moderate depth and flow. It appears that navigation is possible at this site. The applicants proposed to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a a new but similar structure. The new bridge will be approximately 100' long x 30' wide. Rip-rap will be utilized at the corner toes of the two approach fills. The new bridge clearance appears to be the same as the existing bridge. 10. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS: No impacts are anticipated if the project is completed as proposed. SUBMITTED BY: C.
