In accordance with the Division of Coastal Management (NCDEQ) request, please consider this letter
authorization to go upon State lands allocated to the Department of Administration for the beach nourishment
project to repair the eroded protective dunes in this area throughout most of the oceanfront. The proposed
project will involve use of either a hopper edge or cutter suction (hydraulic) dredge to excavate sand from the
borrow area. Please see Exhibit I attached.
