The permit expires on 11/15/16. (NOTE: The expiration date of this permit has been extended in accordance with Session Law 2010-177.) The action proposed in your submittal is to increase the size of the previously authorized IT building, to measure 36' in length by 14' in width dripline dimensions (which includes the 6' in length by 12' in width porch, now to be covered). The proposed work is adjacent to the Deep Point marina basin and the Cape Fear River, in Southport, Brunswick County. The building is still to be located over existing asphalt, adjacent to the existing Admin/Warehouse Building and outside of the 75' Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern (AEC). Also proposed is the inclusion of a 6' wide by 30' long wooden handicap ramp with a 6' by 6' wooden landing to the east of the IT building and the construction of approximately 835 square feet of additional temporary concrete walkway within the footprint of the previously authorized, but unbuilt, administration building. A 15' long by 6' wide wooden walkway would be located outside the footprint of the building to the south, and would serve as the connection between the IT building and the concrete walkway. The concrete walkway would extend from the southeast comer of the future (authorized) admin building, along the eastern side of the footprint and would connect to the existing warehouse building. The installation of approximately 380 linear feet of conduitlelectrical wiring is also proposed, leading from the Admin/Warehouse Building to the Generator station on the northeast corner of the marina. All work would be located outside of the 75' Estuarine Shoreline AEC. The concrete walkway would later be removed prior to the future construction of the administration building Upon reviewing the information provided, the Division of Coastal Management has determined that the proposed action is consistent with existing State rules and regulations and is in keeping with the original purpose and intent of the permit. Dear Ms. Coats: Included are 5 color copies of a 24"06" drawing in support of this Letter of Refinement Request to the Bald Head Island Limited, LLC Deep Point Manna CAMA Permit 91-96 to extend by 4'the length of the 12' x 24' IT Server Building approved by Letter of Refinement dated 10-19-2010 for a building size of 12'x28'. We wish to also cover the 6'xl2' concrete porch with roof, thus making the overall roofprint 14'x36' = 504 sf. This is all over existing asphalt pavement. In our permitting process with the City of Southport, a handicap ramp was required to be added. Our 30" height of building above existing grade will require an appx 6'x30' wood ramp, with a 6'x6' wood landing. This ramp is shown to the northeast side of the building. With the Administration Building on hold because of the economy, I have shown appx 835 sf of either wood or concrete walkways within the administration building footprint, to allow access to an outside entrance for the existing breakroom/bathrooms in the warehouse building. A 6'xl5' wood walkway perpendicular to the main run of what is shown as concrete walkway will make the connection down to the IT Building porch. State Stormwater Permit SW8-951012-Mod includes 27,005 sf impervious area for the Administration Building/Offices/Warehouse Complex. The Warehouse portion of the project was completed during the Fall of 2009. It should be noted that my today's proposal is for much less than what is permitted; however, we do not want to relinquish our right to build the full size administration building once the economy sufficiently rebounds. One additional item show is an approximate 380 If path for underground conduitlelectrical service from our on -site generator. The server room was initially designed for inside of the administration building, and the back up generator service did not get run to that future building. My drawing is seal dated 11-1-2010.
