2022. This permit, issued on November 29, 2022, is abject to compliance with the solcation and site drawing (where
consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special condfifons and notes set torfb below. Any violation of
these terns may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or dvii action, or may cause the permit to be nul and void.
This permit authorizes: REMOVE EXISTING STRUCTURE AND PILINGS FROM THE LOT.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in aomordance with the permitted watt plat j
draydrip(s) DATED received November 14, 2022.
(2) All construction must conform to ft N.C. Building Code requirements and all other Io* State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations. Shall meet all requirements of the NC State Building Code.
(3) Any dlartge or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluatlat and
moditWon of Ibis permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910-842-MO for a final inspection at
completion of worn.

(6) No disturbance Is permitted seaward of the toe of the frontal dune as shown on the survey dated being ,
delineated on 08-11-2022 by LPO. Suggest placing a barrier so that the toe of the frontal dune is visible.
(7) The permittee is required to contact the Local Permit Officer 910-842-6080, shortly before he I ans to begin
construction to arrange a setback measurement that will be effective for sixty (60) days barring a major
shoreline change Construction must begin within sixty (60) days of the determination or the measurement is
void and must be redone.
(8) All buildings constructed within the ocean hazard area shad comply with the NC Building Code, including the
Coastal and Flood Plain Construction Standards of the N. C. Building Code, and the Local Flood Damage
Prevention Ordinance as required by the National Flood Insurance Program. If any provisions of the building
code or a flood damage prevention ordinance are inconsistent with any of the following AEC standards, the.'
more restrictive provision shall control
(9) Dune disturbances will not be allowed because the dune's protective value could be weakened or reduced AM
disturbed areas will be immediately stabilized.
(10)AII unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by
effective sedimentation and erosion control measures Disturbed areas shall be vegetatatively stabilized
(planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction completion.
(11) Chapter 151.40 (B) in Holden Beach Code of Ordinances states. Hazard removal by owner. When
structures are removed from the Ocean Hazard AEC, all concrete, pilings, septic tanks, walkways, decks, and
any erosion control structures Including sandbagslbulkheads shall be removed, if located within the CAMA
setback (30 times the annual erosion rate), by the owner within 30 days of official notification by the town. The '
disturbed area shall be reconstituted with a sand dune at least of equal size and protection as to that which
existed prior to the above work being done or to a condition that makes it comparable to the adjoining dunes,
whichever is appropriate.
All areas shall be grassed or seeded to prevent loss of soil or sand from winds.
NOTE: Suggest placing a temporary visible barrier landward of the toe of the frontal dune so that NO disturbance
is done on the dune.
