Applicant: Town of Southern Shores
Project Location: Oceanfront shoreline of Southern Shores plus ~1000’ to the south into Kitty Hawk &
~1000’ to the north into Duck & offshore waters, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, in
Dare County.
Proposed Project: Request for authorization of the Town’s beach nourishment project to include approx.
26,625’ of shoreline that spans the entire length of Southern Shores & to include
possible 1000’ tapers into Kitty Hawk & Duck.
