Issued to Kevin & Amanda Beck, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 126 Madin Drive, in
Holden Beach NC, as requested in the permittee's application, dated July 18, 2022, placed on hold July 29, 2022. This
permit issued on October 5, 2022 is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with
the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may
subect permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This pemvt authorizes: DEMOLISH THE EXISTING HOUSE AND CONCRETE SLAB, CONSTRUCT A SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE, GRAVEL DRNEVYAY AND UNDERGROUND STORMWATER RETENTION DITCHES. NO FILL
MATERIAL HAS BEEN PERMITTED FOR THIS LOT.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted wale plat
drawings(s) dated received September 27, 2022 and sited by Engineer Timothy Donohue.
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evakMon and
modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910.842080 for a final inspection at
oompletion of work.

(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 30% of the lot area within 75 feet of mean high water. In this
case there will be 1,339.5 square feet within the 75 foot (Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern)
with a engineered design.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(10) and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
devebpmenticonstruction including the overhangs shall be located a distance of 30 feet landward of normal high
water measured from the landward face of the existing bulkhead.
(7) The 85.3 square feet of open decking is limited to slatted, wooden, elevated and unroofed deck that shall not
singularly or collectively exceed 85.3 square feet is being permitted based on section 15A NCAC
07H.0209(dX10)(F).
(8) All unconsofrdated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on sib by
effective sedimentation and erosion -control -measures. -Mr -to any land-dietwbing LcM ib barrier fine Of

(9) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction
completion. Natural grass for the yard area, artificial grass is not permitted.
(10)Be advised that an as built final survey will be required prior to final inspection with all impervious calculations
and overhang locations shown to verify town setback requirements. The setbacks are measured from the platted
property line as shown on the surrey.
(11)Fill material has not been approved for this property. The concrete slab is approved at an elevation of 5.1'.
(12)The (5)10' x 20' parking spaces shall remain accessible for the life of the structure.
(13) The underground stormwathr retention shall not be located within the 30-foot buffer area and shall be
inspected prior to being covered up by the engineer that will provide the fetter of compliance.
(14)There shall not be any impervious fabric - product placed until the gravel placed in the driveway that will
not allow water to infiltrate through. (Mari, coquina, or ABC rock material is not allowed)
(15)No structure including the HVAC unit, stairs, steps shall not be located within the 5 foot side yard setback area
measured from the property line.
(16) The primary intent of these regulations in chapter 158.09 in part, is to satisfactorily control stormwater on
individual parcels of land, and to control runoff onto adjacent property, or water induces soil erosion in any form.
(17) Overhangs are not permitted within any of the town's setbacks that are measured from the platted property One.
(18) This lot is boated in a flood zone AE with a DFE of 14.
(19) Elevated buildings with enclosed areas which are below the lowest floor shall not be designed or used for human
habitation, but shall only be used for parking of vehicles, building access, or limited storage of maintenance
equipment used In connection with the premises. The interior portion of such enclosed area shall not be finished
or partitioned into separate rooms, except to enclose storage areas. FLOOD VENTS AND BREAK -A-WALLS
ARE REQUIRED. This areas shall not prevent access to all (5)10'x20' required parking spaces.
