Email: Kwillson@coastalprotectioneng.com Dear Mr. Willson: NORTH CAROUNA Environmental Quality October 20, 2022 This is with reference to your request to modify State Permit No. 113-21, acting on behalf of the Town of Duck. The permit was issued on September 1, 2021 for beach nourishment. The permit expires on December 31, 2024. The action proposed in your submittal is to allow the creation of the vehicular accessway to the beach at Port Trinitie, with subsequent restoration of the subject area, as described in your email and attached letter of request dated and received on 10/5/22. In reviewing the information provided and consulting with the appropriate resource agencies, the Division of Coastal Management has determined that the proposed action is consistent with existing State rules and regulations. This Letter of Refinement serves as a one-time amendment of Condition No. 10 to allow for this additional accessway, provided the area is restored at minimum to its pre -project condition, or to a greater extent, in accordance with the design shown on project plans. All other permit conditions remain in effect. Please note this authorization does not authorize any work not expressly described above.
