In accordance with the Divisions of Coastal Management (NCDEQ) request, please consider this letter
authorization to go upon State lands allocated to the Department of Administration for the beach nourishment
project to reduce storm damage and flood damage to the area. The proposed project would be conducted via a
cutterhead dredge, a hopper dredge, or a combination of the two methodologies. Please see Exhibit I attached.
