Good morning Heather,

I wanted to touch base with you quickly while I'm trying to get everything sorted on my end. When I was putting together my comments, I was using the 2015 nourishment response from Shane
Staple as a sort of guiding reference. I saw that Shane had included the moratorium in his response, and carried that forward for consistency (and because it's in DMF's permit review
guidance). I also talked to Anne about this. She recalls the meeting, but noted that what's said in scoping meetings may not always reflect what we end up recommending, as we need to
see everything project-related in order to make our comments. And that the monitoring requested might've been somewhat of a "we're recommending the moratorium, but, if it can't be adhered
to, we request this monitoring." I'm hoping to hear back from Shane today, but I wanted to go ahead and touch base with you to let you know where I'm currently at with this. Once I
hear back from Shane, I'll get back in touch with you. Thanks Heather!

Thanks! They came through fine- except there is going to be concern about your recommendation for the moratorium since that was not required last time and we’re told weather conditions
up that way makes winter work very difficult to dangerous. In the scoping meeting I believe Anne said that DMF typically requested the moratorium, so to work in summer monitoring would
need to be done to show recovery? So I thought there was just going to be a request for monitoring?

Have you spoken to Anne about this? The meeting was at the end of April last year (4/29, and by phone of course), so it was in the thick of covid. I don’t know if she has any meeting
notes or recollection, but please check in with her if you haven’t already.
