This alignment shall be approved by DCM staff prior to construction. Failure to initiate construction within thirty (30) days, or significant erosion of the shoreline by adverse weather conditions, will require the alignment to be re-examined by DCM staff within thirty (30) days prior to the new expected start of construction. 2) The height of the structure shall not be greater than the height of the adjacent marsh substrate. It is recommended that this height be established by DCM staff. 3) No deadmen or other tie back structures shall be placed in the marsh without prior DCM approval. This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or continuance, as the case may be. This permit must be accessible on -site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
