SUBJECT:
Renewal of Major CAMA Permit No. 56-96
CAMA Major permit No. 56-96 was issued to SRF, Inc. on 15 April 1996 for the
construction of a 275' bulkhead, a boat ramp, and four fingers piers onsite SRF, Inc. property at
Tuscarora Beach on the Chowan River in Hertford County, near Winton, North Carolina. The
permit was modified/renewed on 22 December 1999 to include an 8'x275' dock to be
constructed waterward of the 275' bulkhead.
Due to medical problems Mr. Scott R. Farmer (President of SRF, Inc.) was unable to
complete the construction of the dock and the permit expired on 31 December 2001. Mr. Farmer
has requested that the permit be renewed (with no modifications) for 2 years. I recommend the
permit be renewed as requested. The $100 check to cover the cost of the permit renewal has
been deposited into the Department account.

Dear Sir:
I would like to renew my existing permit. Due to an accident at the end of last year,
I have been unable to finish construction. Hopefully, I will be released by the
physician by the latter part of June and can start again. I also would like to keep
the permit in place so I can maintain the existing items.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
Sin r ly yours,
Scott R. Farmer
