Schecter, Director May 27, 1997 Mike Doxy District Technician Currituck Soil and Water Post Office Box 69 Currituck, North Carolina 27929 RE: Refinement of CAMA Major Permit #166-96 Dear Mr. Doxy: �..�.. i EDEHNFR Your request to refine the above permit of the Whalehead Club in Currituck County has been approved and authorizes the placement of riprap fill material within approximately 1,500 square feet of man-made coastal wetlands. The following conditions apply: 1) All riprap fill material shall be confined landward of normal water level. 2) No fill shall be allowed in the adjacent mitigation pond. 3) The riprap shall be free from loose dirt or any other pollutant. It must be of a size sufficient to prevent its movement from the site by wave action. All other requirements established in the original permit issued on December 6, 1996, remain in effect. Highway 12, adjacent the Currituck Sound, Corolla, Currituck County, North Carolina. The Federal agencies have completed review of the modification request and have no objections.
