Hi Heather I don't see any problem with your dredging project on Brooks Creek marina slip 32. The second shows the depth of the creek up to the piers on either side. This depth was measured at 1:30 PM on Sunday November 4th, 2022. 1 also measured the depth at the two pilings closest to the marsh. For your convenience, the depth of the creek between the piers on either side is 6.5'. The depth at the piling closest to the main channel of the creek is 30" and the depth of the one farthest away from the main channel is 19". 1 am proposing that the area of my slip to be dredged to a depth not to exceed the baseline depth of the main part of the creek per your requirements. Please let me know if you need anything else and what the next steps are. Thank you sir. The proposed depths must illustrate that the proposed depth will not be deeper than connecting waters, so please show depths or contour lines to the best of your ability. If you have any documentation of previous dredging — even verbal statements from the local slip owners, that would be helpful to have. Good morning sir, I've received the signed forms from the two adjacent property owners as well as the president of the Brooks Creek Marina for the Agent Authorization. For the drawing, do you want me to show the slip and then just label that we are dredging within the slip? I just want to provide the correct information for you the first time. There has definitely been dredging completed in the marina before as many of the shrimp boat captains have told me. It had to be done for them to be able to come and go from time to time. Please let me know about the drawing and I'll get that over to you. I had our admin assistant do a review of this docking facility to see if there was a history of dredging. If we don't have the history of dredging in this area, it may require a CAMA major permit which is a much more difficult process than a general permit. I would talk to Mr. Lawrence and see if he has any recollection of previous dredging being done within this facility. If he does have a memory of a project the name of the property owner and date would also be very helpful. The other option would be for you to come into the office and search the owners of these slips to see if there is a permit history of dredging.
