Good morning Sarah. I hope you are well today.
After review of the material provided and consideration of our discussion, the NCWRC would not object to the
installation of the jet ski lift on the bulkhead as proposed in the email below. We understand that the initial proposal
would have allowed the jet ski lift to be positioned over deeper water, but due to the adjacent covered structure and
pier layout, the positioning was not operable. While water depths in the area of the proposed jet ski lift next to the
bulkhead are less than our general guidance for slips, the slip is for a jet ski that is to be positioned over uplands
landward the bulkhead when lifted. These conditions minimize impacts to aquatic resources. Therefore, due to this
situation's circumstance, we do not object to the jet ski lift's positioning nor request the project to be reviewed under
the NCDCM CAMA Major Permit process for more extensive review.
Thank you for the opportunity to review and provide comment on this proposal. Please notify our agency if there are
any modifications to this proposal or if I can provide additional assistance.

Good afternoon Maria,
I recently permitted a jet ski lift (see attached general permit) to be attached to an existing pier & platform located
at 7001 Martins Point Road in Kitty Hawk. The jet ski lift was originally permitted for the southern side of the existing
platform so that the PWC could swing and be stored over the platform. However, in the course of the installation, it was
determined that the vertical mast of the lift will be too tall to rotate under the existing gazebo roof when the lift is above
the decking. So the property owner and contractor are proposing a modification to the existing permit. They would like
