Dear Mr. Dunbar:
This letter of refinement is in reference to your letter received by this office on 10 November 2014 requesting a
modification of work authorized under Major CAMA Permit No. 90-14 issued to Smithwick Properties LLC on 17
October 2014 for the construction of 768 linear feet of bulkhead and two observation piers onsite your existing
commercial campground located at 272 Riverside Campground Road, in the Community of Pori near Belhaven in
Hyde County, North Carolina. The Division of Coastal Management coordinated your request to modify the
aforementioned permit with the Division of Water Resources reference the Tar/Pamlico River Basin Buffer Rules (See
attached 29 December 2014 email from Anthony Scarbraugh).
Your request to modify the aforementioned permit to allow for the installation/replacement of power, and water
lines as well as new septic system (as authorized by the Hyde County Health Department) servicing existing camp spaces
is hereby authorized.
All previous permit conditions apply including the 31 December 2017 expiration date still remain unchanged.
Your modified plat dated revised 31 October 2014 illustrating the location of the power and water lines will become a part
of the permit file and construction should be accomplished accordingly.
