Sent: Thursday, April 7, 2022 4:40 PM To: Vaughan, Kent D Subject: RE:80 Edward Ln Good afternoon Kent. We discussed the property on Edward Lane back in March, but I wanted to provide record of our discussion for your files. This area of Dawson Creek is designated an anadromous fish spawning area (AFSA). This means the creek and its shoreline provide important habitat opportunities for the spawning of fish such as striped bass and blueback herring. To minimize impacts to these species, an in-water moratorium from February 15—June 30 of any year is requested for many development activities. Disturbance may include elevated noise and/or turbidity levels, removal of habitat areas, or alteration of shorelines. The installation of the boat ramp, as you described, is more or less a push in place ramp. This will require minimum disturbance to Dawson Creek, the shoreline, and the creek bottom and therefore should be ok to perform during the moratorium. However, the basin dredging would produce more intense disturbance and should adhere to the moratorium. The use of a turbidity curtain would likely not produce optimal results and therefore should not be considered option. I do hope this addresses your inquiry. Please don't hesitate to call or email if there is anything additional. Maria Maria T.
