Dear Mr. Kruger:
This is with reference to your builder's request to modify State Permit #8-14, issued to you on
January 15, 2014 and expiring on December 31, 2017. The action proposed in your submittal, as
submitted in the September 6, 2014 request, is to authorize a pool and surrounding concrete deck
under the house and landward of the 60' setback.
In reviewing the information provided, the Division of Coastal Management has determined that the
proposed action is consistent with existing State rules and regulations and is in keeping with the
original purpose and intent of the permit. This Letter of Refinement authorizes the modification of
State Permit #8-14, as described in your letter dated September 6, 2014 and plan labeled "Site Plan
Proposed Pool for Nikolai Kruger" dated revised 8/19/14. All permit conditions remain in effect.
Please note this refinement does not authorize any work not expressly described above, nor does it
eliminate the need to obtain any other additional state, federal or local permits, approvals or
authorizations that may be required- including a stormwater plan revision by the Division of
Energy, Mineral and Land Resources (DEMLR). By copy of this letter we are also notifying the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the DEMLR of our action. If you have any questions
concerning the above or if I can be of any other assistance, please advise.

This letter is to confirm my intentions for the installation of a 1 Oft. x 20 ft. pool and concrete decking for the above
referenced address.
On 8/20/2014 you received a site plan from Island Surveyor's showing the pool placed under the deck on the south
side of the house as well as a 5ft. x 34 ft. concrete pad extending from the foundation.
I am asking that you modify the existing CAMA permit # 8-14 to allow me these changes.
