Dear Mr. Rippy:
This correspondence is in reference,4,o your letter of June 22, 1998 requesting the
modification of CAMA Permit #17. `According to your letter, you wish to
modify your permit to allow for the construction of three 10' X 26' sun shelters on
the Triple S Pier located at 600 Henderson Street, in Atlantic Beach, Carteret
Country. The purpose of the open -sided shelters is to provide customers with a place
to momentarily get out of the sun and rain while fishing from the pier. According to
the plans submitted along with the request, two shelters would be located at the end
of the pier, while the third would be located along the middle of the pier at the fishing
platform.
Please be advised that CAMA Permit #137-97 is hereby refined to include the above
modifications as long as it is constructed consistent with the leffrs and drawings that
you submitted to this office. Please attach a copy of this letter to your permit so that
it may be made available to department personnel when making routine monitoring
inspections of the site.
I do appreciate your efforts to comply with the permit requirements of the Division

Summary Description Of Proposed Activity: The permit applicant, Peace and Plenty
Farms, of Vanceboro, North Carolina, proposes to withdraw and use 550,000 gallons of water per
day in Craven County. Withdrawals will be from the Castle Hayne Aquifer for the purpose of
crop irrigation.
