This correspondence is in reference to your letter of August 4, 1998 requesting the
modification of CAMA Permit #10-977hich authorized the renovation of the existing
DIRECTOR DONNA MOFFITT public boat ramp at the terminus of Midyette Street in the Town of Oriental, Panlico
County. According to your letter, the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission
wishes to modify their permit to allow for the construction of a one double lane launch
ramp as apposed to the two single lane launch ramps- nd to allow for the construction
of two floating docks instead of the three fixed pier/docks. According to the plans
(dated 7/27/98) submitted along with the request, the double lane concrete ramp
would be 28' X 59' 7" and the two floating wooden docks would measure 8' X 64'.
Please be advised that CAMA Permit #10-97 is hereby refined to include the above
modifications as long as it is constructed consistenilft the letters and workplats that
you submitted to this office. These plat were titled NCWRC Oriental Boating Access
Area — Dock Dimensions and Profiles at A -A. In addition, all existing conditions
associated with the original permit still remain valid. Please attach a copy of this
letter to your permit so that it may be made available to department personnel when
making routine monitoring inspections of the site.
I do appreciate your efforts to comply with the permit requirements of the Division

The NCWRC requests that our CAMA Major Development permit (Permit No. 10-97, issued for
the Oriental Boating Access Area in Pamlico County) be refined to incorporate the following design
changes:
1. One double lane launch ramp (28X59'8") as opposed to two single lane launch ramps.
2. Two floating docks instead of three fixed pier docks.
Please refer to the attached plans for dimensions. If there is a fee associated with these changes,
please let me know. Thanks for your assistance. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me
