This letter is in response to the Oct. 14, 2014 request you submitted for a refinement to Major Permit # 23-
14. The request was add an ADA compliant dune cross over ramp connected to the previously authorized
dune cross over.
Major Permit # 23-14 was issued to Dare County, on March 12, 2014. This Permit is for the construction of
a public beach access with a bathhouse, parking areas, and a dune cross over.
The project is located at 23731 NC Hwy 12 Rodanthe, Dare County.
Your modification request as described and/or depicted in your submittal dated Oct. 14, 2013, is hereby
authorized as a refinement to CAMA Major permit # 23-14. All existing conditions remain in effect, including
the expiration date of Dec. 15, 2017. This letter is provided to you as a record of the authorization, and
should be included with the Permit file.

Dear Mr. Jennings,
This letter is with reference to CAMA Major Development Permit #23-14 issued to the County of Dare
authorizing the construction of a beach access in Rodanthe, North Carolina. The applicant requests that the
permit add an ADA compliant ramp which is situated to the north of the gazebo and ties to grade before the
First Line of Stable Natural Vegetation. I have attached a plat depicting the proposed alignment.
This project is under construction; so, your assistance to consider this refinement as soon as possible is
greatly appreciated.
