This permit, issued on J / �"� �5' , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
0 ) The portion of the parking lot which is within 75 feet of the water will
not be covered by impervious surfacing. Paver stone, crush stone, or other
pervious surfaces must be used if improvement of the parking areas is
accomplished.
NOTE: The permittee is reminded that this permit authorizes work on properties
(Re: high ground) owned by him or properties under lease or other agreement.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee
or other qushfied persons within twenty (20) days of the
issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work
initiation or continuance, as the case may be.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification
not covered hereunder requires further Departmental
approval.,
All work must cease when the permit expires on
November 30.1986

This Office has received a request by Scott Cottrell to
renew Permit #52-80. This request falls under renewal criteria
#2. All the work under this authority has been completed except
for the building addition. I have no objection to the renewal
subject to the same conditions on the permit.

Dear Mr. Cottrell:
I have tried to contact you several times by telephone and
decided that, in the interest of time, I had better write. Your
proposal to excavate in Silver Lake will require a major modifica-
tion to your permit.
To initiate this action, we will need a $100 check, payable to
NRCD, to defray the cost of advertising and administrative handling.
In addition, please provide us with the method by which you plan to
excavate 160 feet out in the water using a drag line. We need to
know that the excavation can be achieved without double handling below
Mean High Water. I will initiate the processing of your request;
however, this additional information is necessary to complete the
application for resource agencies' review.
Should you have any questions concerning this matter, please
contact me at my Elizabeth City office.
