Box 176, Engelhard, NC 27824 authorizing development in Hyde County at Far Creek as requested in the permittee's application dated 6/26/79, including attached plats, sheets 1-3 of 3 w/sheet 3 dated revised 11/27/79 This permit, issued on October 4, 1982 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditik -I notes set forth below. Any violation of these terns may subject I,rmittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void. _L - - (1) ,In order to protect juvenile shrimp populations, no excavation or filling will be permitted between the dates of April 1 through September 30 of any year without the prior approval of the Office of Coastal Management. (2) No excavated or fill material will be placed at any time in any marsh or waters of the State outside of the alignment of the fill area indicated on the plat. (3) In order to protect water quality, runoff from the construction area must not visibly increase the amount of suspended sediments in adjacent waters. NOTE: Since more than one acre of land will be disturbed, this project will require an erosion and sedimentation control plan. The plan must be filed at least thirty (30) days prior to beginning any land -disturbing activity with the Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, Land Qualtiy Section, 1502 North Market Street, Washington, NC 27889. (See attached sheet for Additional Notations) This permit action may be appealed by the pennittee or other qualified persons within twenty ('20) days of the issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or continuance, as the case may be. This permit must be accessible on -site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification rot covered hereunder requires further Departmental r pproval. All work must cease when the permit expires on September 30, 1983 in issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina .green that your project is consistent with the North .arolina Coastal Management Program. Box 1507 Washington, NC 27889 (919) 946-6481 I have reviewed the subject request and have no problems with the renewal. The same conditions should be replaced on the new permit with a new note requesting that Mr. Blanchard contact the Washington Field Office prior to commencing of activities so that the permit can be discussed with him. Also the cover letter should emphasize the need to maintain sedimentation control measures at all times. He indicated that he proposes no changes and that a one year extension should allow him time to complete the project.
