This permit, issued on November 9, 1983 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
(1) In order to protect juvenile shrimp populations, no excavation or filling will
be permitted between the dates of April 1 through September 30 of any year
without the prior approval of the Office of Coastal Management.
(2) No excavated or fill material will be placed at any time in any marsh or waters
of the State outside of the alignment of the fill area indicated on the plat.
(3) In order to protect water quality, runoff from the construction area must not
visibly increase the amount of suspended sediments in adjacent waters.
NOTE: Since more than one acre of land will be disturbed, this project will require
an erosion and sedimentation control plan. The plan must be filed at least
thirty (30) days prior to beginning any land —disturbing activity with the
Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, Land Quality Section.

This permit action may be appealed by the permittee
or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the
issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work
initiation or continuance, as the case may be.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification
not covered hereunder requires further Departmental
approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
November 30, 1984
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina
agrees that your project is consistent with the North
Carolina Coastal Management Program.

the Chairman of the Coastal Resources Commission.
