This dredging is necessary due to shoaling that has occurred due to the last hurricane.

deposited in the spoil area adjacent to the basin.

MEMORANDUM
TO: John Parker
FROM: M. Ted Tyndall K
SUBJECT: Renewal Request - CAMA Major Permit #257
N.C. Dept. of Transportation, Ferry Division, Craven County
DATE: June 23, 1995
Attached is the fourth renewal request and the $50.00 renewal fee from NCDOT for
CAMA Major Permit #257. The applicant has requested another 5-year renewal for
maintenance dredging along the south side of the Neuse River at the Cherry Branch Ferry
Terminal. There have not been any changes in the scope of the project or in the intended
use. The project remains consistent with the local land use plan and AEC guidelines.
Therefore, I have no objections to the renewal of permit #257 using the same conditions that
were listed on the third renewal.
