The permit authorizes construction of a dock and highground improvements, including grading and construction of a boardwalk and retaining wall. It was renewed in January 2019 and will expire on December 31, 2020. Mr. and Mrs. Sprinkle have been unable to begin construction on this project. Their intention had been to start work in early 2019. However, Hurricane Florence in September 2018 severely damaged their home located on the project site. Extending into 2020, their efforts focused on rebuilding their permanent residence that was made uninhabitable by the storm. Soon after restoring their home the Covid-19 pandemic occurred, further complicating their efforts to begin work authorized by the CAMA permit. It is their objective to begin work on the highground components in Spring 2021, and upon completion to begin construction of the dock. On behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Sprinkle I am requesting that permit 42-15 be renewed. Enclosed with this request are copies of the current permit and an agent letter authorizing me to act on behalf of Mr. Sprinkle. Check #1320 in the amount of $100.00 written on the account of Coastal Planning Services, Inc. is also included to cover the renewal fee. Thank you for your assistance.
