Mrs. Catherine Nathan, at the request of permitee Jeo rey Nathan, is requesting the renewal of State
Permit No. 146-15. It was originally issued on December 22, 2015 and expired on December 31, 2018. Mrs.
Nathan states that work has been delayed due to contractor scheduling and damages due to the recent hurricane.
She also states that no changes to the conditions of the permit are being requested or planned at this time.

permittee shall not be entitled to compensation for damage to the authorized structum or work, or injury

15) No excavation or filling of any open water area or vegetated wetlands is authorized by this permit.
NOTE: This permit does not eliminate the need to o14tt n any additional state, federal or local permits,

Dear Mr. Nathan:
Through coordination with the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management we
have learned of your request to renew the work associated with your Department of the
Army (DA) permit issued on May 21, 2015 to construct a 308 sq. ft. docking facility,
adjacent to Hewletts Creek and the AIWW, in Wilmington, New Hanover County, North
Carolina. Coordinates are: 34.1136.97 N,-77.5126.10 W.
On January 1, 2017, we renewed general permit No. 197800056, (copy
enclosed), that authorizes the maintenance, repair, construction and installation of piers,
docks, boathouses and boat shelters, mooring piles, dolphins, jetties and breakwater
structures in navigable waters of the United States in the State of North Carolina
pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899.
Your work is authorized provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with the
attached plans and the enclosed general conditions. The permit is hereby renewed. It is
understood that all conditions of your permit conditions remain applicable and that the
expiration date of your DA permit is December 31, 2021.
Please read the enclosed permit to prevent an unintentional violation of Federal
law. As this Department of the Army regional general permit does not relieve you of the
responsibility to obtain any other required approvals, you should contact appropriate
State and local agencies before beginning work.
