Issued to Steve and Kimberly Kimbrough authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline at 141 Tarpon Drive, in
Holden Beach NC 28462, as requested In the pennittee's application, dated received April 02, 2022. This permit was
issued on August 22, 2022, is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the
permit), all applicable regulations and spacial conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may be
subject for the permittee, to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: CONSTRUCT A 28.4'XV UNCOVERED (NO ROOF) DECK ON THE FRONT (STREET SIDE) OF THE
EXISTING HOUSE. DECK SHALL BE ELEVATED TO THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION.
(i) All proposed development and associated consbuction must be done In accordance with the permitted work plat drawings
(survey) dated stamped received August 2, 2022 and signed by Surveyor, Christopher Stanley.
(2) All oonsdud on must conform to the N.C. Buildhhg Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes In the plans for development, construetlon, or land use activities will require a reevaluation and
modification of this permit
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910-842.6080 for a final inspection at
completion of work.

(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 30% of the lot area within 75 feet of
(Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern), In this case the house and total impervious area within
the AEC already exists. The uncovered pervious (no roof) deck is permitted on the front (street side) of
the house.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15 NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(10), and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
developmenyconstruction shall be located 30 feet landward of normal high-water level.
(7) The uncovered (no roof decks) shall be elevated above the design flood elevation,
(8) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by
effeclive sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities. a baeler line
(9) No grading Is permitted within the 30' buffer from the normal high water. Any land disturbance must be
contoured to prevent additional stormwater runoff to the adjacent marsh, This area shall be immediately
vegetatively stabilized and must remain in a vegetated state.

construction completion.
(11) Areas below the structure which are below the lowest floor shall not be designed or used for human
habitation, but shall only be used for parking of vehicles, building access or limited storage of maintaince
equipment. Flood Vents shall be installed In accordance with FEMA regulations and Holden Beach Town
Ordinance. Access to the enclosed area shall be limited to a (standard exterior door), or entry to the living
area (stairway or elevator). The interior portion of such enclosed area shall not be finished or partitioned
Into separate rooms, except to enclose storage areas.
(12) One 10'X20' parking space is required to remain accessible for the life of the structure for each bedroom.
(13) Town ordinances states in part that the primary intent to control stormwater on individual parcels of land, so
as not to adversely affect the quantity and quality of surface water flows as a result of natural rainfall, and to
control runoff onto adjacent property, or water induced soil erosion in any form. Surface water runoff shall
be controlled within property boundaries and not drained onto adjacent areas, both private and public. (fa
example, streets and roads)
(14)A as built survey with new uncovered (no roof) deck shall be submitted prior to a final inspection being
completed so that it may be verified the addition meets all town ordinances,
