Dear Property owner:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the
necessity of filing an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area
Management Act. The activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit
as long as it meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project
will no longer meet those conditions please contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS: REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF CONCRETE
BULKHEAD
1) NO new/live concrete can enter the surface waters.
2) New concrete shell can only be poured at LOW TIDE.
3) New concrete shell shall use a quick drying or drying additive.
4) Back fill can be rock, soil, crushed cement or other inert materials.
5) Concrete can not be poured beneath low tide.
6) See the attached repair diagram for concrete bulkheads.
This letter of exemption is valid for a period of 90 days only and autnonzes the LQarr or me
concrete bulkhead only! A new application will need to be submitted if repairs are not
commenced within that time.
