1. Thtr pool shall be located at minimum of 15 feet from all portions of the septic system and also
from the repair area No pool decking to be located within 5 foot of any portion of the septic
system or repair area.
2. The swimming pool shall only be located landward of the vegetation line;
involves no alteration or removal. of primary or frontal dunes; has overwalks to
protect any existing dunes; is not essential to the continued existence or use of
an associated principal development.
3. No dune disturbance or vegetation disturbance is to occur within the 60' setback area.

4. Pursuant to 15NCAC, Subchapter 7J. 0406(b), this permit may not be; assigned,
Transferred, or otherwise disposed of to a third party, except by the Division -Director.
5. The structure must be located entirely off of the frontal dune, and if a primary dune is present,
landward of the crest of the primary dune. "
6. All proposed development and associated construction must be done 9n accordance with the
permitted work plat drawings(s) that were approved by Brunswick County Health Department
and the Local CAMA Permit Officer.
7. All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State
and Federal regulations.
S. Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction; or land use activities will
require a re-evaluation and modification of this permit.
9. The proposed project shall meet all requirements of the Town Ordinance Chapter 94
BEACH REGULATIONS"
10. The pool shall be installed flush with the existing grade. Pools, pool decks, walkways, and
associated accessory buildings placed under or adjacent to coastal buildings must be
structurally independent of the building and its foundation.
11. Construction shall meet all requirements of section 157.060 located inahe.Code of
Ordinances.
12. All construction shall meet all the requirements of Town of Holden Beach Code of
Ordinances. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL
SHALL MAINTAIN A FIVE FOOT SETBACK FROM THE ADJACENT
PROPERTY LINES.

19. In accordance with T15A NCAC 7H. 0308(a), no seawall or riprap revetments will be allowed in
the future should any structure become threatened from erosion. _.
20. All construction shall meet all requirements of chapter.157.060 and Chapter 158.00..
Section 158.09 (C)(4) states in part that it is the intent of these regulations that stormwater flow
be contained within property lines in question, and not be directed onto.adjacent real estate.

AEC HAZARD NOTICE

This notice is intended to make you, the applicant, aware
of the special risks and conditions associated with
development in this area, which is subject to natural
hazards such as storms, erosion and currents. The rules of
the Coastal Resources Commission require that you
receive an AEC Hazard Notice and acknowledge that
notice in writing before a permit for development can be
issued.
The Commission's rules onbuilding standards,oceanfront
setbacks and dune alteration are designed to minimfze,but
not eliminate, property loss from hazards. By granting
permits, the Coastal Resources Commission does not
guarantee the safety of the development and assumes no
liability for future damage to the development.
The best available information, as accepted by the Coastal
Resources Commission, indicates that the annul ocean
erosion rate for the area where your property is located is
-:;-, feet per year.
The rate was established by careful analysis of aerial
photographs of the coastline taken over the past 50 years.
Studies also indicate that the shoreline could move as
much as ,3M feet landward in a major storm.
The floodwaters in a major storm arepredicted to be about
,2� feet deep in this area.
Preferred oceanfront protection measures are beach
nourishment and relocation of threatened structures.
Hard erosion control structures such as bulkheads,
seawalls, revetments, groins, jetties and breakwaters are
prohibited. Temporary devices, including sand bags, may
be allowed under certain conditions.
This structure shall be relocated or dismantled within two
years of becoming imminently threatened.

SPECIAL NOTE: This hazard notice is required for
development in areas subject to sudden and massive
storms and erosion. Permits issued for development in this
area expire on December 31 of the thud year following the
year e which the permit was issued. Shortly before work
begins on the project site, the Local Permit Officer will
determine the vegetation line and setback distance at your
site. If theproperty has seen little change and the proposed
development can still meet the setback requirement, the
LPO willinform you that youm%begin work. It is impor-
tant that you check with the LPO eforethepermit expires
for official approval to continue the work after the permit
has expired. Generally, if foundation pilings have been
placed and substantial progress is continuing, permit
renewal may not be necessary. If substantial progress has
not been made, the permit must be renewed and a new
setback line established. It is unlawful to continue work
after permit expiration without this approval.
