including the attached workplan drawing (1), dated received DCM-Morehead City 7/16/15.
This permit, issued on Oetnher 19, 2615 ' , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may
be subject to fines, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
Docking Facility
1) Unless specifically altered herein, this minor modification authorizes the expansion of three floating
docks from 6' to 8' in width, as expressly and specifically set forth in the attached permit application
and workplan drawing. No other structure, whether floating or stationary, shall* become a permanent
part of this docking facility without permit modification. No non -water dependent uses of structures
shall be conducted on, in or over public trust waters without permit modification.
2) The construction and/or operation of the authorized facilities shall not directly result in any closure of
any waters that are open to the taking of shellfish. Any such closure directly attributable to the
marina facility shall require that the permittee undertake remedial actions to remedy the situation.
Such actions may include, but are not limited to, a removal of any unauthorized slips or mitigative
measures to reduce or eliminate the cause(s) of the closure.
(See attached sheet for Additional Conditions)
This permit action may be appealed by the pemrittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification not covered
hereunder requires fiuther Division approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 2018
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees
that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Chairman of the Coastal Resources Commission.

Docking Facility
1) Unless specifically altered herein, this minor modification authorizes the expansion of three floating

3) The permittee and/or his or her contractor shall meet with a representative of the Division prior to
project initiation.
4) This minor modification shall be attached to the original permit No. 18-15, which was issued on 2/5/15,
and copies of both documents shall be readily available on site when Division personnel inspect the
project for compliance.
5) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this minor modification unless
specifically altered herein.
NOTE: A minor modification application processing fee of $100 was received by DCM for this project.

Mr. Chad Kimes, on behalf of the permittee, has submitted a request to modify CAMA Major Permit No. 18-15, which
was issued on February 5, 2015, authorizing the construction of a commercial docking facility (marina) at 120 Halls Point
Road, in Sneads Ferry, Onslow, County. The permit is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2018.
The permittee's proposal includes expansion of the permitted access walkways from 6' in width to 8' in width. This
would occur at docks 1, 2 and 3 as noted and stated in the field investigation report circulated on November 26, 2014. As
proposed, the expansion would be within the limits of the allowable square footage based on current CRC Rules. The
design has been implemented to provide more stability to patron using the facility. Check #4473 in the amount of $100.00
has been submitted to cover the request.
At this time, this office has no objection(s) to this modification request.
By copy of this memo, DCM is requesting that the USACE, DWR and DCM/Fisheries Resource Specialist, provide
any comment that your agency may have on the proposed project to Doug Huggett of DCM's Morehead City
office within 10 days of receipt of this memo.

This permit, issued on Octaher 199 21115 is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terns may
be subject to fines, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
Docking Facility
1) Unless specifically altered herein, this minor modification authorizes the expansion of three floating
docks from 6' to 8' in width, as expressly and specifically set forth in the attached permit application
and workplan drawing. No other structure, whether floating or stationary, shall'become a permanent
part of this docking facility without permit modification. No non -water dependent uses of structures
shall be conducted on, in or over public trust waters without permit modification.
2) The construction and/or operation of the authorized facilities shall not directly result in any closure of
any waters that are open to the taking of shellfish. Any such closure directly attributable to the
marina facility shall require that the permittee undertake remedial actions to remedy the situation.
Such actions may include, but are not limited to, a removal of any unauthorized slips or mitigative
measures to reduce or eliminate the cause(s) of the closure.

This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification not covered
hereunder requires further Division approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 2018
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees
that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

3) The permittee and/or his or her contractor shall meet with a representative of the Division prior to
project initiation.
4) This minor modification shall be attached to the original permit No. 18-15, which was issued on 2/5/15,
and copies of both documents shall be readily available on site when Division personnel inspect the
project for compliance.
5) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this minor modification unless
specifically altered herein.
NOTE: A minor modification application processing fee of $100 was received by DCM for this project.
