This letter is in response to your request dated August 24, 2015, that Major Permit #09-15 be refined to
include additional fill and grading on your property at 222 Soundward Lane, Holiday Island Subdivision, in
Perquimans County.
Major Permit #09-15 was issued to you on January 16, 2015. The permit authorized development including
a replacement bulkhead a maximum of 28' waterward of normal water level, a personal water craft lift and a
boat lift on a man-made canal off of the Albemarle Sound. Your current request as described will include
placing additional fifty feet from normal water level. You request is also depicted on the site plan submitted
received on August 24, 2015. The request is hereby authorized as a refinement and all existing conditions
remain in effect, including the expiration date. This letter is provided to you as a record of the authorization,
and should be included with the Permit file. This permit refinement is subject to the following conditions:
1) Development will consistent with the plans submitted and dated as revised on August 21, 2015.
2) This authorization is subject to all other federal, state and local regulations.
3) No additional impervious surface is authorized by this refinement.
4) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on
site by effective sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing
activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must be installed between the land disturbing activity and the
adjacent water areas, until such time as the area has been properly stabilized with a vegetative
cover.

Major Permit # 09-15). Fill will be placed from the originally approved limit MY from normal water level
to the front yard to obtain proper drainage to the adjacent Swale.
